Measuring Instructions

When choosing the width of your curtain, you should base it on the width of the Roma Double Wooden Curtain Rod & Track System for Curtains and Drapes — not on the width of the window. The rod is wider than the window so that, when drawn, the curtain doesn't cover the glass or darken the room during the day. It also gives you enough room to gather the drapes to the side when the window is fully opened.

The simplest way to work out the width of the Roma Double Wooden Curtain Rod & Track System for Curtains and Drapes is to add 25–30 cm on each side (left and right) to the width of your window, depending on the space available. The recommended allowance depends on the fabric: for sheer curtains, make the rod 20 cm wider on each side than the window; for drapes, 25 cm on each side; and for heavier fabrics, 30 cm on each side.

If you opt for a wall-to-wall installation of the Roma Double Wooden Curtain Rod & Track System for Curtains and Drapes (running the full length of the wall), we recommend leaving 3–8 cm of free space at each end especially for rods whose decorative finials are fixed by screwing them on.

Assembly Instructions

Attach the wall plates to the bracket arms using the rear screws.
Screw the brackets onto the threaded studs on the curtain rod.
Slide the glide hooks into both tracks.
Screw the end caps onto both ends of the curtain rod.
Secure the assembled curtain rod to the wall.
Attach the curtains to the glide hooks.

Chat on WhatsApp See all questions

How do I measure?

Measure the width of your window and add 25–30 cm on each side, so the curtains can open fully without covering the glass. For a wall-to-wall fit, measure the full distance between the walls. The length you enter already includes the end caps.

When will it arrive?

Every rod is made to order. Production takes about 2 weeks, then we ship it with a tracking number so you can follow it to your door.

What's in the box?

The rod, the mounting brackets, curtain hooks (about one per 10 cm) and the screws needed to assemble the rod. Need more hooks? Just add a note to your order.

Will it hold heavy curtains?

Yes – it holds any curtain without a problem, thanks to solid wood and an integrated aluminium inner track.

My window is very wide – is that a problem?

Not at all. Longer rods come in two pieces with a connector – or, on request, in one piece up to 4 m (extra shipping may apply).

How can I pay?

PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa and Shop Pay. All prices include VAT.
