Measuring Instructions

Curtain and drape track system with square wooden valance measuring guide

Calculating your curtain width

To size the Curtain and drape track system with square wooden valance, the easiest approach is to add 25–30 cm to the left and right of your window width, depending on the space available. The recommended allowance depends on the fabric: for sheer curtains, make the track 20 cm wider on each side than the window; for drapes, 25 cm on each side; and for heavier fabrics, 30 cm on each side.

When choosing your curtain width for the Curtain and drape track system with square wooden valance, base it on the width of the track rather than the window. The track sits wider than the window so the drawn curtain won't cover the glass or shade the room during the day and you'll have enough space to gather the drapes aside when the window is opened fully.

Assembly Instructions

Remove the end pieces that close the tracks before starting the installation.
Slide the hooks into both aluminium tracks.
Reattach the end pieces to the ends of the curtain rod.
For wall mounting, fasten the support brackets to the curtain rod at the appropriate fixing points.
Install the complete system securely on the wall or ceiling.
Hang the sheer curtain on one track and the blackout curtain on the other.

Chat on WhatsApp See all questions

How do I measure?

Measure the width of your window and add 25–30 cm on each side, so the curtains can open fully without covering the glass. For a wall-to-wall fit, measure the full distance between the walls. The length you enter already includes the end caps.

When will it arrive?

Every rod is made to order. Production takes about 2 weeks, then we ship it with a tracking number so you can follow it to your door.

What's in the box?

The rod, the mounting brackets, curtain hooks (about one per 10 cm) and the screws needed to assemble the rod. Need more hooks? Just add a note to your order.

Will it hold heavy curtains?

Yes – it holds any curtain without a problem, thanks to solid wood and an integrated aluminium inner track.

My window is very wide – is that a problem?

Not at all. Longer rods come in two pieces with a connector – or, on request, in one piece up to 4 m (extra shipping may apply).

How can I pay?

PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa and Shop Pay. All prices include VAT.
