Measuring Instructions

Saly Double 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod with Aluminum Track measuring guide

How to measure for the right curtain width

With the Saly Double 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod with Aluminum Track, base your curtain width on the rod itself rather than the window. A rod that runs past the window on both sides keeps the closed curtain off the glass so daylight isn't lost during the day and gives the drapes room to gather neatly to the side when the window is fully open.

To find the right length for the Saly Double 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod with Aluminum Track, take your window width and add 25–30 cm at each side, as far as your wall space allows. Match the overhang to the fabric: count on roughly 20 cm per side for sheer curtains, 25 cm per side for drapes, and 30 cm per side for thicker, heavier materials.

If you're running the Saly Double 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod with Aluminum Track wall to wall (the full width of the wall), leave a 3–8 cm gap at each end particularly handy for rods with decorative finials that screw on at the tips.

Chat on WhatsApp See all questions

How do I measure?

Measure the width of your window and add 25–30 cm on each side, so the curtains can open fully without covering the glass. For a wall-to-wall fit, measure the full distance between the walls. The length you enter already includes the end caps.

When will it arrive?

Every rod is made to order. Production takes about 2 weeks, then we ship it with a tracking number so you can follow it to your door.

What's in the box?

The rod, the mounting brackets, curtain hooks (about one per 10 cm) and the screws needed to assemble the rod. Need more hooks? Just add a note to your order.

Will it hold heavy curtains?

Yes – it holds any curtain without a problem, thanks to solid wood and an integrated aluminium inner track.

My window is very wide – is that a problem?

Not at all. Longer rods come in two pieces with a connector – or, on request, in one piece up to 4 m (extra shipping may apply).

How can I pay?

PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa and Shop Pay. All prices include VAT.
