Measuring Instructions

Cilindru Single 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod & Aluminum Track System measuring guide

Choosing your curtain width

When deciding on the curtain width for the Cilindru Single 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod & Aluminum Track System, base it on the width of the rod rather than the window. A rod that is wider than the window keeps the drawn curtain off the glass, so the room stays bright during the day and you'll have enough space to gather the drapes to the side when the window is opened fully.

The simplest way to work out the width of the Cilindru Single 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod & Aluminum Track System is to add 25–30 cm to the left and right of your window width, depending on the space available. The recommended margin depends on the fabric: for sheer curtains, make the rod 20 cm wider on each side than the window; for drapes, 25 cm on each side; and for heavier fabrics, 30 cm on each side.

If you choose to fit the Cilindru Single 35 mm Wooden Curtain Rod & Aluminum Track System from wall to wall (along the entire length of the wall), we recommend leaving 3–8 cm of free space at each end especially for rods whose decorative finials are fixed in place by screwing them on.

Chat on WhatsApp See all questions

How do I measure?

Measure the width of your window and add 25–30 cm on each side, so the curtains can open fully without covering the glass. For a wall-to-wall fit, measure the full distance between the walls. The length you enter already includes the end caps.

When will it arrive?

Every rod is made to order. Production takes about 2 weeks, then we ship it with a tracking number so you can follow it to your door.

What's in the box?

The rod, the mounting brackets, curtain hooks (about one per 10 cm) and the screws needed to assemble the rod. Need more hooks? Just add a note to your order.

Will it hold heavy curtains?

Yes – it holds any curtain without a problem, thanks to solid wood and an integrated aluminium inner track.

My window is very wide – is that a problem?

Not at all. Longer rods come in two pieces with a connector – or, on request, in one piece up to 4 m (extra shipping may apply).

How can I pay?

PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa and Shop Pay. All prices include VAT.
